Merit odds 

Compare with race time odds to segregate Non jobbers from jobbers. Jobber means race time odds will be less than merit odds and non jobbers will be quoted higher than merit odds. Allow a margin of 10% on either side. If more than 1 horse is positive in odds trend then ignore that race. If first or second fav is withdrawn then ignore the merit odds for that race

How to interpret values given in Worksheet 1

DR : Dynamic Ratings based on Method given by Prakash Gosavi, as the name suggests it is dynamic in  nature and changes with distance , is the most important feature of Worksheet and major part of final NTR

TR: Time form Rating illustrating the capable Class strength as per the run, Constant in nature and very useful to guage current form of a horse

TD: Time Form Ratings for the current race distance, Horses with Highest TD have decent chance to be in strong contention

Trainer/Jockey {TRV/JKV}
<10 span=""> Ordinary Performer
10--20 Modest Performer
20-30 Decent Performer
>30 Very good Performer

Class {CV}
0 Non winner or first time runner in the class
1--10 Modest Performer
10--20 Decent Performer
>20 Suitable target class

Distance {DV}
0 Non winner or first time runner in the Distance
1--10 Poor Performer
10--20 Modest Performer
20--30 Suitable target Distance
30>> Most Suitable for the trip
***Horses with highest DV in the field have good chance to end up in place***

Draw
Value based on number of winners/places from the draw for current race, keep an eye on well drawn and badly placed horses in sprint races

90 Impressive final spurt with the same jockey of the race
85 Impressive initial speed and final gallops
80 Ideal preparation from slow to fast work
70 Works by Rb, Gate Practise or final work before 5 days
60 Only Gp, final work by Rb
50 Last run was 14 days back and no trackwork thereafter
40 No trackwork for last 10 days
30 Only Pool Exercises
20 Last run was 20 days back and no trackwork thereafter
0 No trackwork or pool exercise for last 30 days
NTR
A Value thus arrived by a formula giving due weightage to each factor as per their importance. Worksheet tables can be easily copied into excel sheets and thereby giving user an opportunity to create his own NTR
