Classerville for Pune Derby

Following are my views for Pune derby day races.

Race1

13.Beacon Light

1 .Salawati

6 .Grey Island

11.The First Lady

Race for non winners.My first pick is Beacon light who,at this handicap, has good chance to upset.Salawati failed as fav in its last outing,can win this time.Grey island ran unextended till now,today running with +ve switch of shoes,has very good chance to upset,good each way bet.The first lady can hope to place.Secret affairs inspite of top saddle artist looks difficult.

5 .Blue Ray

4 .Talk Of The Town

7 .Pine Crest

6 .Encouragement

Blue ray is best suited for this distance ,has very good chance to win this race.Talk of the town won twice in three starts,will fight it out.Pine crest ran good forward race last time,will place for sure.Encouragement is best suited for 1200mts,but since this is No False rails day,can hope to place.

1 .Alaska

6 .Golden Memory

2 .Tudor Regent

4 .Onus Probandi

Declaration of allowance claiming jockey on Alaska indicates +ve intent of its connection,has good initial speed and can simply run away to victory.Golden Memory ran good race in strong company in its debut run,can place only worry is whipless jockey,i have opted for it since rest of the field is very poor.Tudor regent ran good races in strong maidens group,will be fancied,much will depend on intentions of stables which has not so good reputation with favs.Onus Probandi is the one which can upset.

14.Royal Gesture

13.Peregrine Falcon

3 .Ijlal

Black Rainbow has very good chance over this step up distance and can easily win.Nefyn is full brother to Riyasat may need this run even though it looks well prepared same is the case with Sine quo Non.Royal gesture has chance to place due to inital speed.Peregrine Falcon has been consistent and should place by default.Ijlal is rank outsider place prospect.

6 .Jacqueline

8 .Balance De Power

11.Oyster Princess

10.Weizhou

On sheer class Jacqueline is cut above rest but it has tough job on hand mainly due to new track of Pune,short straight and presence of quality runners.Balance de power is advantegously placed in outer box which will allow it to settle well and can swoop over entire field in final furlong.Oyster princess is at tidy handicap,should place.Weizhou is in rising form but this is different class,has very tough job on hand.In the end i suggest Win/shp/place bet(2,1,6} On Balance de power or place bet on Oyster princess.

2 .Step By Step

12.Zippity Zip

5 .Bravado

Calypso queen has good chance to win this race.Step by step ran good forward races over 7 furlongs,can do well in this short distance.Zippity can hope to place due to Jockey merit.Bravado is hiding true form and can extend its best here.

7 .Pepe Junior

1 .Oasis Star

6 .Oyster Pearl

3 .Escravos

Oasis star looks to be in trouble here in this set due to innermost box,top weight and incompetent jockey.My first Pick is Pepe junior who is prepared very well and can create a flutter.Oysterpearl will run close and place looks certain.Finally i would suggest Win/Shp/Place(3,2,6) on Pepe junior or place bet on Oyster pearl.

2 .Classerville

1 .Cabriolet

7 .Red Dragon

3 .First Empire

Versaki is distance ahead of the rest if consider its rating{96) where as next best rating is that of classerville{69).But i was not impressed by Versaki's manner of victory over 9 furlongs,will
have to work very hard to earn this prestigous event.My first pick is Classerville who even though did not travel over mile,has very good chance as it has seen relatively better horses and has all the chances to Upset.Red dragon will place.

9 .Scenic Silver

10.Creme De La Creme

7 .Sepia Tone

11.Estevez

In my view Scenicsilver who very impressively in its last outing has clear cut advantage over its rival,can win easily.Creme De La Creme has good chance to upset,place looks certain.Sepia tone is well place to finish in top 3.Estevez has tough job as fav and will need lot of luck.

5 .Lightning Cavalry

11.Tara

3 .Forever Amber

Bornspecial has chance to win again in this set.Lightning cavalry will place by default.Tara is long shot place prospect.
