Timings of the first day with PNR 2.7 was more or less in line with standard timings
Timings of the second day with PNR 2.8 was 4.8 seconds slower than the standard timings
The difference is easily explained by the rain that fell before racing on the second day. However, the published PNR reading failed to adequately reflect the impact of the moisture on track performance. This illustrates how misleading PNR figures can sometimes be. Winners have clocked fast times at this center and it is difficult to comprehend that a mere 0.1 cm change in PNR could be solely responsible for a near five-second deterioration in overall race times. Clearly, factors beyond the published PNR reading appear to have influenced the track's performance.
About today's selection, it's same like I did for Sunday, relied largely on intuition rather than established handicapping norms. Readers should take judgement accordingly.
