Came across this interesting article on net.Read and try to grasp the moral.

Many years ago in a small Indian village,
A farmer had the misfortune Of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender.
The Moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer’s beautiful Daughter. So he proposed a bargain.
He said he would forgo the farmer’s debt if he could marry his Daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were
horrified by the Proposal.
So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let Providence decide the matter.
He told them that he would put a black Pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would Have to
pick one pebble from the bag.
1) If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father’s debt would be forgiven.
2) If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father’s debt would still be forgiven.
3) But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into Jail.
They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer’s field. As They talked, the moneylender bent over to pick
up two pebbles. As he Picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two Black pebbles and put
them into the bag.
He then asked the girl to pick A pebble from the bag.
Now, imagine that you were standing in the field.. What would you have Done if you were the girl? If you had to
advise her, what would you Have told her?
Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:
1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.
2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag And expose the money-lender as a cheat.
3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order To save her father from his debt and
imprisonment.
Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with The hope that it will make us appreciate the
difference between lateral And logical thinking.
The girl’s dilemma cannot be solved with Traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses
The above logical answers.
What would you recommend to the Girl to do?
Well, here is what she did ….
The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without Looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall
onto the pebble-strewn path Where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.
“Oh, how clumsy of me,” she said. “But never mind, if you look into the Bag for the one that is left, you will be
able to tell which pebble I Picked.”
Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had Picked the white one. And since the money-lender
dared not admit his Dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into An extremely advantageous
one.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don’t Attempt to think.

Very tricky card.Many worthy contenders are running with -ve change of shoes and underprepared.

Race1	Spark Of Galaxy merits attention due to +ve switch of shoes but not sighted in tracks,Hamsafar has services of weak rider.Moonlight Dancer is working well,can upset if above two falter at all important end.

Race2	Indian Bolt is on handicap reduction after incurring 12kgs penalty for runaway win.Sweet Caroline is facing no opposition whatsoever,should win hands down.Ahana has been penalized 11kgs for impressive win,will not try here.Note Royal View for long shot place prospect.

Race3	Ready To Mingle even if half fit will win easily.Mac is prepared well but no show in this class.Greens is prepared well but cannot fancy a horse which wins with A shoes but now runs with S shoes,same is the case with Royal Player.Ultra Consistent Champions League should place.

Race4	Carnival Of Joy is better than Summer Wine but –ve change of shoes, jky and outermost box are strong deterent of its chances.Summer Wine is advantegoulsy placed in innermost box,will be hard to catch.Note Fleeting Spirit for long shot place prospect.Wyndham is not sighted in tracks for last 1 month.Sparkling Cat is running after long lay off without any preparation.

Race6	Ignore summer campaign of Caspian Sea,looks very well prepared and should win.Stone Of Destiny cut above rest but –ve change of shoes and lack of trackwork does not augur confidence.Same is the case with Express it.Snob Value has been running listless for weight reduction,can upset if on job.

Race7	Match race between Inspired Move and Cationic,former looks very good and should easily win.Cationic no doubt is impressive winner but of maiden groups,is now running in open group.Note Saptashwa for long shot place prospect.

Following are my views for races to be held on Monday.Card looks very dull,horses from unreliable stables will be fancied,extreme caution is advised.STAY AWAY FROM RACES is the tagline for todays card.

Race1:Xtreme(5)/Juliet(4)

Race is restricted to this two only.Xtreme was seen moving very well in its last outing,working well thereafter,should be able to beat Juliet.

Race2:True Fashion(1)/Royal Bay(3)

Allegation is best of lot but not sighted in tracks,Royal Bay is working well but needs more ground.True Fashion was fancied in monsoon where it pulled up lame,looks to have improved a lot,can pull it off.

Race3:Aarohan(5)/Sanjaa(4)

Aarohan showed up in last run,all set to register a win here.Sanjaa is now running with +ve switch of shoes,but tested with SCP in trials and running without it in race,will need more ground.Almalawi is place certainity.

Race4:Exclusive Monarch(3)/Vijay Sena(6)

See You There will do well on Derby Day,will run easy today.Exclusive Monarch gave good forward run,has beaten Manduro giving 10kgs,now Manduro is in receipt of 6kgs.Vijaysena has been prepared well,will be on job,should give good fight to winner.

Race5:Miracle(7)/Thunder King(5)

No runner seems to be interested in this race.Thunder King is not sighted in tracks after last run,can win if fit.Miracle is best of lot,has hoodwinked enough,can stage pillar to post victory.

Race6:Scorching Affair(2)/Genuis Empress(7)

Race for 4 years old who have not won more than once.Scorching Affair may win in this set where all other runners seems disinterested.Genuis Empress will place at longer odds.

Race7:Rainbow Fog(4)/Splendid Act(1)

Rainbow Fog should be able to pull if off.Splendid Act if tried can place ahead of Kohinoor Mystic who has very good initial speed.Acciccatura may run easy this time.

Race8:A Fire Work(6)/Easy Touch(3)

A Fire work seems to have improved a lot as evident by pleasing trials,can make a race out of it.Chimmey is working very well,will try start to finish tactics.Easy Touch will follow fate of its stablemates.

HRC gets permission from state Government to open a new Off Course Tote Centre at Guntur.Trainer Deshmukh is all set to hog limelight again.He already has commanding lead and in all probability will become champion trainer.

Race1:Power Colors(5)/Vijay Sidhant(4)

Deskmukh's wards can grab both places in this races.Power Colors is not facing any worthy opposition and can win as he likes.Vijay Sidhant is mighty impressive in track and can grab second spot at lucrative odds.

Race2:Flash Of Emerald(6)/Sorbitrate(4)

Flash of Emerald is working very impressively,facing very poor set of runners,can easily win if it is able to reproduce track form.Sorbitrate will follow winner home ahead of Paris Time.

Race3:Mystical Knight(3)/The Himalayas(1)

Ignore last run of Mystical Knight,working well with Blks and sporting the same for race,was mighty impressive winner in Monsoon in hands of David Allan,should return as winner.The Himalayas is very well poised to offer stiff resistence to Mystical Knight.Pluto Queen was runaway winner of weak set,may not be able to impress here.

Race4:Rocking Rocket(12)/Key Note(11)

Rocking Rocket is responding very well in tracks and as such will be on job,can raise winning gallop at all important end.Key Note is working well,will try to challenge eventual winner.Star Experience will place.

Race5:Pacific Groove(3)/Narwhal(6)

Pacific Groove was seen finishing on well over 6 furlongs in its last run,now with extra 200mts more to travel has good chance to win.Ice Candy failed on too many occasions.Narwhal is a long shot place prospect.

Race6:Vijay Rath(5)Reconnect(3)

Bold Blast is best suited for 1400mts,will not be able to sustain carrying this weight.Mission Chief likes to cut his own pace,will not be able to impress in this set.Sparks,Monsoon Derby Winner,has not been adequately prepared clearly indicating that this run is preparatory run for upcoming classics.Davenport is game for longer distances.Clever Ploy will run easy this time.Reconnect and Vijayrath are the only other contenders left.Vijayrath was very impressive winner and as such should run good race,Reconnect had problems in winter,this run need to be watched.


Race7:Captivating(4)

Gift race for Captivating.Kyles Of Bute and Successor are not in tracks after last run.Above The Line has no class.Captivating looks fit and should easily win this race.

Race8:Arsham(7)/Nandanavana(4)

Bad race.Shes Got The Looks was impressive winner in hands of talented apprentice,no track after last run indicates connections unwillingess.Southern Spice has failed twice this season,now runs with -ve change of shoes.Arsham ran easy in its last run,can extend its best here.Nandanvaana merits attention due to strong rider.Kohinoor Fairy Tale will place.

Race9:WorldWide(4)/Young Star(6)

Another bad race.Southern Rose finished second in very very poor company,will not be able to carry this weight over this distance.World Wide has stripped fitter,can stage pillar to post victory.Young Star has improved after lung opener,will place.
