Hyderabad and Pune Independence Day Choices

 

Happy 75th Independence Day to all beloved countrymen

 

As a goodwill gesture posting choices along with analysis for both centers

 

 🇮🇳 Hyderabad

 

Race-1: 10. Yaletown

City Cruise ran below par in last two runs on this Monsoon track, should improve over step up trip

Resurgence was a victim of poor handling in the last run, looks very sharp in trials but first run this season and change of equipment are negatives

Shubrak is an average bred who will need few runs

Tiger Mountain made debut in weak looking field where it finished far behind winner, will need more sharpening

Yaletown gave a good forward run over this trip and appears to be a default contender

 

Race-2: 5. Gurbaaz/ 2. Ice Berry

Isra has won twice over this C&D but struggles on Monsoon track

Ice Berry performed well over Monsoon track in last season, can be a different customer in the second run of this season

Mireya has a short burst of speed

Gurbaaz after two easy runs gets positive switch in shoes, has won a race over mile in last season

Starwalt won despite hanging out last time, now pitched in higher class

 

Race-3: 4.Quality Warrior/ 1.Siyavash

Siyavash was fancied by us last time where it appeared be bit rusty, should run good this time and can finish in 1-2

Quality warrior was not on job last time due to presence of stablemate Bellagio, has leading claims on TR it got in Rno 171 of Winter season

Black Onyx gave a decent forward run last time after returning from a setback

Ashwa Pushkin appeared rusty last time, can surprise at this weights

 

Race-4: 1.Lamha

Lamha is a gutsy miler who in last run beat good horses and despite top handicap looks formidable

Galwan runs after a gap of 8 months

Miss Marvellous has failed 24 times in this class

Pacific Command who returned lame last time will not be pressed against stablemate

 

Race-5: 4. Lifes Song/ 2. Kingston

Blue Origin failed as fav against better horses, retained at same mark

Kingston after two easy runs should perform well under this Jockey and most probably end in 1-2

Amyra runs well when least expected, has earlier won with this Jockey

Lifes Song was mighty impressive winner and with that TR tough to take a stand against her

 

Race-6: 4. N R I Secret

Battle Ready drops to target class, has earlier won in First Up Run

N RI Secret was not given judicious ride last time, can sprint away in this shorter trip

Life Time’s performance can be gauged by race time odds

Good Tidings has failed with this Jockey in lower grades

RACE-1: 2. Doc Martin

Commandment could not improve significantly even with aids of Blinkers last time, now drops to the lowest class and runs without Blinkers, has tendency of getting stuck in traffic

Doc Martin the offspring of Quasar was hanging under pressure last time, has been tested with Blinkers in trials and should run good

Jack Bauer a modest bred from low performing stables was ordinary in both runs of career

Mad Love was supposed to run on 29^th July but race got cancelled due to heavy rains, that set was easy for him whereas this one looks a bit tough

Conclusion: Top handicap horses in card dominate lowest class races. Doc Martin has best TR and hence given first preference

 

RACE-2: 1.Montgomery

Montgomery finished second in debut run in modest company

Champagne Smile is a modest bred who is most suited for this 6f trip

Lady Cadet is full sister to Mzilikazi , urged for response in final fast work suggesting she may need a run

Zip Along has been finishing far away from winner, stables usually don’t go all out in maidens race.

Conclusion: Montgomery is best among experienced horses and can score in this modest set

 

RACE-3: 8. Buckley

Multistarrer performs well at Pune but has piled up handicap and will find it tough to carry top weight

Flaming Lamborgini the only Class and Distance winner has all boxes ticked except for Horse+ Jockey

Arabian Phoenix defied setback factor to win well last time, goes up in class at a slightly higher handicap

Wellington from Madras will use this unfavorable trip as a lung opening exercise

Pure likes to roll in front and will see her stamina stretched over this mile trip

Mandeville who faced an inquiry for dismayed performance last time is running first time after a gelding operation

Buckley participated in grade races at Hyd, Jockey has stunning 39% strike rate for this trainer

Alastair appears to be an ordinary horse

Conclusion: A competitive event where Buckley is preferred solely on the count that stables regard him as classic prospect. Flamingo Lamborgini has credentials to end up in 1-2.

 

RACE-4: 2. Petronia

Petronia was asking for more ground in last run where despite an unfavourable trip was installed as hot fav, should redeem that losses in this race

In Contention piled up huge handicap owing to his winning spree at Hyderabad

Rambler drops in handicap after an easy outing

Pride Angel struggles in First Up Runs

Alicia is better than Petronia on 7^th November line but could not find any preparatory gallops hence ignored

Kinnara with issues of hanging out under pressure is a difficult horse to handle

Conclusion: Petronia has outstanding credentials. Rambler can grace board at decent odds

 

RACE-5: 1. House Of Lords

House of Lord’s last run can be ignored as it was first run after gelding

Golden Lioness who is full sister to Leopard Rock failed as fav in debut against better horses and improved with blinkers in next run, I have strong reservation against this mediocre Jockey

Kaitlan ran fairly at Hyd, Trainer Sunderji needs to revive his old spark

Conclusion: I will make an exception to my rule of not backing N Lagad’s horses in a maidens race and fancy House of Lords

 

RACE-6: 5. Leto

Gangster from Madras is one of the successful offspring of Quasar and despite Dam being a class-1 sprinter won a 10f race very easily, true class will be revealed here in company of superior RWITC horses

Kamaris has best TR for this trip but struggles in First Up Runs

Leto after a good lung opener is entrusted to local champ, first foal of Devoted Eyes can easily stay this trip

Royal Alamdaar finished second in a modest set and any further improvement looks unlikely

Sky Storm appears to be one paced

Conclusion: While Gangster, Kamaris and Sky Storm have decent credentials laced with a negative it would pay to back Leto who is bound to relish this 10f trip

 

RACE-7: 1.Magileto

Magileto failed as a "only 3yrs old" in a handicap debut race after winning impressively at Mumbai, should be able to redeem that losses

Almas from Sunderji’s stables performed well at Hyd

Esperanza extended well to burn both ends succesfully in last run, does not impress on class progression terms

Fortune Teller had an excuse of whip loss in last run, drops back to winning class

Trinket obliged us as an upset place prospect, loves Pune track but may struggle in this set

Conclusion: 3yrs old are expected to dominate and among them Magileto despite wide draw appeals most.

RACE-8: 4. Cognosco

Perfect Man who had setback in Mumbai drops to the lowest class and looks well prepared

Cognosco is a sprinter by breeding, belongs to weak connections but numbers are good

Red Dust despite top saddle assistance and change of equipment could not show any improvement last time

Conclusion: Cognosco appeals most in this race

 

DAYS BEST: MONTGOMERY [2-1]
