Race-1: 6.Vanguard
Vanguard is Top rated in DR and NTR. Recent trends of runner up horses winning in promoted class at low weights further boost it's chances
Race-2: 8.Arrow
Arrow is top rated in DR, both runs of career were suggestive and can earn much deserved winning berth. Nazaakat is at a attractive handicap mark and can place at decent odds
Race-3: 7.Delphini
Delphine is clearly street ahead in class terms. D knight Mysore should run well this time and can place at decent odds.
Race-4: 2.Tigrio
Tigrio won mighty impressively and on 1st January line is better than 6 horses here. Agrami is well placed on weights and can place again.
Race-5: 1.Social Truth
Social Truth: Half brother to Juliette ,Winner in debut and runner up to subsequent winner in a higher grade, leading claims
Raisina Star: Modest bred who won by a street in debut, need to prove her class in this Terms Race
Big Brown: Behind Social truth in both runs albeit under work Jockey, gets services of a task master over favorable step up trip
Bold Style: Debut in a higher grade, looks under prepared
Leonardo: Slow starter in debut and this run is best watched
Too Much Politics: Also ran type
Conclusion: Vijay Singh calls shot here with 3 runners however Iam inclined towards Social Truth provided it gets Green signal to go against Leading Trainer's stable.
Race-6: 6.Sitara
Awesome One: Highest Rated in this terms race, appears to be best over 1400mts
Prince Satsuma: Tracking well and entrusted to top saddle artist of the land, recent form is poor
Soaring High: Terms race Debut and has a tough task on hand
Sea of Cortez: On roll and leading claims if long lay off factor hasn't had it toll
Dandi Satyagraha: Rousing form and paid late fees to participate here, on 5th October line not better than Sea of Cortez and Sitara
Sitara: A honest front roller that won quite impressively last time
Conclusion: Again the same story of 3 horses from stables of Vijay Singh. I will take my chances on Sitara
Race-7:7 .Sea Lion
Alastair: Out of a flop Dam and has tough task in this Grade-1 race
East Wood: Runner up in 2000G, appears to be best till 9f
Galen: Led well to finish 3rd in Monsoon Derby over 2000mts, step up trip does not suit
Jake: Ran a flat footed race under top Jockey in 2000G, gets weaker rider switch
Karanveer: A maiden who ran an eye catching 4th in Deccan Derby albeit with a front rolling run, may need to produce extra efforts to stay till end.
Sea Lion: Took a big step forward to win 2000G in a second run of career, leading claims
Silvarus: A maiden who finished runner up in Monsoon Derby.
The Protector: Outclassed in this set
Kamilah: Runner up in Oaks and Winner of 1000G in previous run, one wonders how she is still rated a lowly 62, has a tough task cut out here.
Conclusion: Sea Lion is my pick in an open looking Derby
Race-8: 5.Amazonia
A race to compensate Sponsors/Promoters
