Masterpiece drops in class and appeals most in this set of modest opponents
Rwanda the only Class and Distance {C&D} winner in the set will relish drop in trip. Ready Player One gets positive switch in shoes but lacks initial speed required for this sprint race. Ginsburn from Mumbai runs after a long lay off with a change of equipment. Amber Lightning makes handicap debut after brief rest, has speed to blow the field from the word Go. Conscious Keeper can hold on to 3rd place owing to its speed and good numbers.
Race-3: 3. Prince of Windsor
Glorious Legend gets positive switch in shoes but may find distance bit sharp. Choir the only C&D winner in the set is facing field of younger horses. Prince of Windsor has best numbers and should do well now. Fashions of Stars makes handicap debut with a change of equipment and runs after a gap of 5 months, is speedy and stays in contention if body weight hasn’t changed much. Heidmer from Mumbai after a good forward run in last race will be market fancy, cannot understand the need to change equipment. Angel Light the other one from stables of Adhiraj Singh has failed as fav in both runs, is well placed on weights and can improve significantly over step up trip.
Race-4: 2. Judy Blue Eyes
That’s My Class has decent numbers but facing younger horses. Judy Blue Eyes lost as hot fav in the last run ,earlier won impressively over this C&D. Race For Stars despite a slow start and long lay-off factor won well. Excellent Phoenix despite advance age appeals for place berth on relative handicapping terms. Lady Royal is facing an inquiry for last run. Annexed ran easy in Oaks, earlier won a lower grade race, not better than Race for Stars on 18th August and 15th April line.
Race-5: 4. Star Romance
Star Romance is clearly street ahead of Single Malt on 7th Jan line and may run at cramped odds. Single Malt improved in second run where it earned TR better than winner and should be strongly involved in finish. There should be a potential class-2 horse among the debutants to beat this duo.
Race-6: 1. King T’challa
NO WHIP RACE
King T’Challa earned better TR than winner in the last run. Rippling Water is speedy but does not appeal at this handicap. Thomas Hardy is well placed on handicap and goes over an ideal trip. Glenary has speed but has to overcome widest draw. Super Girl was a repeat pattern winner. Anasthasia remains unbeaten, is better than most of the runners here on 27th Jan line, anyways it has to meet her Waterloo and that could be this race since opposition is tough.
Race-7: 4. Zucardi
Race-8: 5. Despacito
Despacito will relish drop in the trip and should run well. Lady Solitaire is speedy and can end up in place at decent odds. Star Ranking does not appeal due to weak numbers
