A visit to club

 Visited HRC first time after pandemic, infact first time after a gap of 3.5yrs 

Paid 560/- as entry fees only to find entire place wear a sad and deserted look. Only Bookies ring was beaming with lots of action. Tote collections including Online App collections are dangerously low (Win Pool 200k Place pool: 80k). One must appreciate HRC for running the show with literally no income. Luckily some things haven't changed and that is poor quality of food :-). No water served like earlier.

On personal note it was really depressing for me to see a place which was once brimming with adreline rush, excitement turn into a vegetable state devoid of life and fun.Tote has become unattractive for small/medium punters. Hope of making decent money with small investment has vanished

A visit to course became necassary for me to understand the recent results trend. Racing now is not for small/ordinary punters. A few days back I have written against Bookies for quoting unfair odds. I will take that back. They are the one who are actually holding the last batch of punters. No doubt they r making good money but they are also contributing well to keep the show running. Those who don't want to bet with bookies have quit this game and many more will continue to do so 

Things will not improve till GST is reduced. Even after GST is reduced things won't jump back to pre GST stage for next 2-3 yrs .Clubs have a tough job to bring Small punters back to Racing.GST has successfully killed a Industry. 

Whether this is a passing stage or a death bed for Indian Racing is something which we won't be knowing for some more time
