Will the Hyd Monsoon Season start on time?
Monday, July 6, 2009
Hi,
Monsoon has been total failure till now baring few occasional showers.A visit to HRC reveals not so rosy picture and in all probability start of Hyd Monsoon season will be delayed atleast by 15 days.Main track is not ready and poses a poor picture in absence of rains. There is very little that Athys can do and can only look towards sky for respite.
There has been sustain efforts by athys to curtail illegal activities.Few weeks back known offenders indulging in illegal betting and other malpractises were rounded off and declared "persona non gratia" warding off them from HRC and other tote centres. In continuation of that compaign, on Sunday few more "CUTTERS" were nabbed from Bookmakers ring enclosure.New security incharge{reportedly from Elite City PolicecommissionersTask force team} is no nonsense tough officer and means business.Few months back one could see many punters openly flouting mobiles inspite of ban,now the scenario has completely changed.
Common punters expect same tough measures to be taken by Athys to curtail malpractises in racing.Recession effect is now clearly showing on racing here with many owners reportedly not in position to even pay their BTF.One can witness lot of ownerships changes as the season progress. If the grapevine is to believed then many small time owners are transfering their wards in name of trainers. If this true then it is not good news for Hyd racing.
After 10days of trotting horses have been subjected to breezing and slow work. One can follow trackwork published in Indian express which is the most accurate.I will update special inputs which i will be receiving from my source.
