Hyderabad 16th August selections

Hi

 IVB on Pune attracted huge crowd,unfortunately space alloted was too small which resulted in lot of jostling and pushing.There is urgent need to improve on that count.Tote betting is available  only at Malakpet thereby leaving punters at OCTCS disgruntled.Collections are low and hence unattractive.HRC mandarins have to work fast to ensure tote betting at OCTCS.

Following are my selections for Monday races.

Race1:Vijay Trishul(3)/Malabar Prince(1)

Which horse would u prefer? A horse which runs for first time after being gelded or the horse which ran after gelding and won easily? Malabar Prince,no doubt,is very very fit as evident by impressive mockrace and regular tracks,but there is an element of uncertainity due to its gelding issue.Vijay Trishul ,in its last run,responded well in final furlong to win easily clearly indicating that it is game for longer distances,I would prefer Vijay Trishul over Malabar Prince.Lambourn does not impress.

Race2:Jabal Queen(8)/Cascading Glory(1)

Fleet Commander has impressed in mockrace and trials thereafter but is it wise to expect a horse to win a race over 7 furlongs in its very first run? Jabal Queen and Cascading Glory are worthy contenders to win,i would prefer Jabal Queen.


Race3:Gold Splendour(3)/Retaliate(3)

Gold Splendour has won mock race with P Chouhan astride,looks very good in this very very poor set and should win.Retaliate will place.Note Deccan Pearl for long shot place prospect.

Race4:Dash Of Class(1)/Fly By Wire(2)

Dash Of Class won well last time,continues to be in good nick,can ward off challenge of Fly By Wire.Note Exclusive Monarch for upset.

Race5:Dancing Harbour(2)/Krithiman(3)

Casablanca runs after long lay off,needs more g round.Krithiman has very good initial speed but running after long lay off without any preparation.Dancing Harbour is working well after good easy lung opener,has good chance to win.Note Amber Rose for long shot place prospect.

Race6:Heyden(5)/Al Jadeed(2)

Dash for cash race.Caliagatae was backed to exclusion of its rival in its last outing,was seen tiring out in final furlong,going was soft that day.I have ignored it due to unimpressive track work.Heyden ran erratically in strong company last time,looks fit as evident by pleasing trials,has good chance to upset.Al Jadeed has good initial speed,well prepared,can make a race out it.Acciccatura was up with front bunch in both start,can upset.

Race7:Indian Army(7)/Democracy(3)

True Fashion was failed gamble in winter,running after long lay off without adequate preparation.Indian Army may come well in this very poor set.Democracy has capability to perform lot better than what it did in its last run,can do well.

Race8:Onassis(4)/Arabian Prince(2)

Beckett gets restless after 7 furlongs and tries to run away,has top weight to take care of.Onassis has improved a lot,can provide solace to its grieving owner.Arabian Prince has done nothing wrong,won Derby at this centre,has good feel of track.Ice Breaker does not impress.

Race9:Acheiver(1)/Caladium(2)

Acheiver ,Caladium and Striking Gold are the only 3 horses which have some credibility,rest all hopeless non performers.Achiever was slowly off in its last run,can pull it off in this set.Note Daily Star for long shot place prospect.

Daysbest:Gold Splendour(3-3)
