Questionable Riding
Monday, September 10, 2012
I have just seen the video of 5th event of todays card..Iam really surprised by efforts put in by Jockey P Trevor on "The Himalayas"..At one stage it looked it would easily pass the front runner but it did not...clearly body language of the jockey was not inspiring..he was seen changing whip at vital stage of race. His hands and shoulders were not stretched as required in fully riding the horse.
In last event of Sundays Card "Drum Beat" was never ever allowed to see light till last 50 mts, jockey kept his mount on the railsides with Garabaldi in front and other on its outside thereby never allowing the horse to run freely,,,the moment it got opening it flew but by that time it was too late

Vinodh,
I felt that Trevor whipped the horse at a vital stage and it momentarily stopped. Do you feel this horse does not liked getting whipped? Would an apprentice have helped?
I have also another suggestion. Like a list of follow horses that you have provided, why dont you thing of grading the jockeys. Meaning
I . PSC, Suraj Narredu , Ajeeth(surprised),JH Christopher, Sreekant
II. Trevor, AK Pawar, Mark , Kuldeep, etc.,
III Jockey to be ignored : Imran Khan
These jockey combined with trainers, if they fall within your follow horses then you can term it as a GOOD, FAIR or NO bet.
For eq you had tipped Eloquence(though not a follow horse). Sreekant with Netto makes a good combination and Sreekant is on top of your jockey's list. So this would qualify as GOOD BET. Whereas Trevor and Anupam Sharma ( have not been doing well). Till such time their horses(Himalayas) can be termed as a REASONABLE BET.
Let me know your thoughts.
As always, when it comes to Hyderabad , you are a ready reckoner and it is good to see you back after a brief hiatus.
Jockey Trainer combination cannot be categorised..that will only add to confusion
