Inspite of getting battered badly in just concluded winter season Punting community boldly rallied behind new administration of MRC to revive grand old racing at Madras/Ooty.But it looks like old habits die hard,multiple entries from a single trainer and blatant pulling of public fancies in last 2 weeks have seriously dented all the chances of revival of this centre

Like always new season brings hope among punting community.BTC has made significant changes in class system prominent among them is compacting the class interval to 20 in place of 25 points.All raced horses rating have been by reduced 6 points.It will be interesting to see how this ratings change effect strategies of trainers/Owners Its a known fact that horses with intermediate ratings like 40-45,20-25,60-65 were eligible to run in both class and this was used by connections to reduce handicap,Due to shrinkage of class interval and uniform handicap reduction it is noticed that now as many as 112 horses are  eligible to run in only 1 class instead of two and as many as 144 horses have become eligible to run in two classes in place of one .It will be interesting .

DR Table will not be published for first few meetings due to above said reasons

Race1:Intrepid Warrior(1)

INTREPID WARRIOR which ran  good races in Winter is pleasing in trials and can raise winning gallop in the opening event

Race2:Namid(3)

NAMID is tested by Suraj himself in trials and has strong chance in a race for maiden over 1400mts which is usually won by top jockeys

Race3:Rare And Famous(4)

In a race for lowest class where most of the runners are coming without any workout RARE AND FAMOUS which stretched out well in trials of 11th May looks best

Race4:Aster Rose(9)

ASTER ROSE which won very impressively in last run is well placed on handicap to register a win in this open handicap class

Race5:Super Sunshine(1)

SUPER SUNSHINE who was repeat pattern winner in winter is tested by Suraj himself indicating stables intentions to go all out

Race6:Amazing Skill(4)

AMAZING SKILLS has worked up well,will go all out

Race7:Aizaan(4)

AIZAAN which ran along good horses in maidens race looks good to score an encore in this open handicap class

Race8:Siobhan(4)

SIOBHAN is dropping down in class and looks tall in comparison in this set
