"The Karnataka High Court gives relief to Bangalore Turf Club by quashing the demand of 28 per cent turnover by the GST authorities. The Bench has reportedly remarked that the demand was unconstitutional and that the BTC should get consequential benefits."

Karnataka High Court has struck down Rule 31A(3) of the CGST Rules, 2017.

The rule imposed GST on the total turnover of the race clubs, instead of the actual commission earned by it.
