2nd August Hyderabad and Puneselections

PLS NOTE:ODDS PUBLISHED ALONGSIDE ARE JUST INDICATIVE ODDS AND NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS ODDS OF BOOKMAKERS.Kindly note that selections given are my views,i neither encourage any betting nor doing this for any monetary gain.This is just an attempt to post my views regarding hyd races which professionals from others centres detest and leave no opportunity to make fun of hydraces.It is my sincere effort to offer some kind of help to hyd punters who otherwise find no other blogger showing any interest in hyd racing.

Following are my observations for 4th day of Monsoon races.Pls scroll down for Pune Selections


Race1:Queensfortune(12)-Win

Queensfortune is hiding true form and if decides to put best foot forward today can easily beat the entire field.
Pavarotti improved a lot after being fitted with "Blks",but my record says it had problems of slow start and hanging out in all races,hence i would avoid a win bet on it.
Emeraldbay has problem of hanging out but now with introduction of "blks" might run well,but still does not inspire total confidence for win bet.
Achiever is full brother to Lanchashire,was seen in track for only last two days,entrusted to strong rider,can upset,look for odds,if drifts southeward then take a chance or else leave it for some other day.

Race2:Nanowar(4)-Win

Nano war is top rated,prepared well and has good chance to win this race.
Davenport lacks initial speed,will find it difficult in this set of seasoned and matured runners.
Carteblanche has short dash,struggles a bit after 1400mts,risky bet for win.
Flybywire was seen finishing on well in last run,lacks winning punch and can be ignored for win.

Race3:Collette(7)-Win

Collette will do well over this extended distance and emerges as good bet of the day.
Vijaysarthi failed to weak horse like Divine ganges,will not improve immediately,can be ignored for win.
Amberrose was hiding true form last season,prepared well and looks good place bet.
The beatles angel is ignored due to poor jockey astride who is not performing well after back surgery.

Race4:Ramasses(6)-Win

Ramasses is cut above the rest and faces no threat,can win easily.
Chesapeake has improved a lot,prepared well wining a mockrace but will have to beat Ramassesee.
Firebird can place.
Scamper has good initial speed but may peter out after 1200mts,hence ignored.


Race5:Royal Dignitary-Win

Royal Dignitary has decent chance to win this race,good win bet.
Play it smart is good long shot place bet.
Sweety Boy will place for sure.
Local ikon if fancied for win can be ignored as it may not be able to carry this weight,will need this run as it looks underprepared.
Bharadvij is lethargic slow start,has tendency of drifting out in straight,looks difficult for win at best can place.


Race6:Chiquelle(9)-Win

Chiquelle ran good races along with better horses,prepared well and looks home and dry in this set.
Cheetah He Jeetha will place for sure.
Alborado has good intial speed,at this feather weight can hold on to place berth.
Ivory snow with run benifit and over this extended distance may be fancied but looks difficult as it has short dash.

Race7:Attractress(5)-Win Commandermoil(6)-Shp/Place

Feature event to the day.Attractress will be hot market fancy.On analysis it is clear that the ones which can come close to Attractress are not interested hence it would be just a formality for her to win.Classicart is not prepared or else it had chances.Vijaymarg will place at longer odds.Commandermoil,the stable mate of Attractress will place for sure.

Race8:Celticshot(11)-Win

Celticshot's last run can be ignored,has good burst of speed,working well and has good chance to win this race.
Mizzna has been lightly penalised after its win,working well and should place.
Starspellbound is best suited for 1200mts,this distance is beyond its compass.
Canopus after change of stables merits attention,can upset,do not ignore for JP.


Daysbest:Ramasses(4-6)

Double:Ramasses(4-6)/Chiquelle(6-9)

Treble:Ramasses(4-6)/Collette(3-7)/Chiquelle(6-9)

Good bets:Queensfortune,Nanowar,Royal Dignitary,Celticshot.

Good place bets:Amberrose,Play it smart,Cheetah He Jeetha,Commandermoil

Pune selections

Race1:Step by step(2)

Lack of worthy opponent may see Step by step clearing its maiden status.Molta bella impressed most in its win in lower category,can upset..Crescendo is good place bet.

Race2:Slickkit(2)-Win

Calypso dancer and slickkit are equally poised,iam opting for latter due to run benifit at this track this season.Paperking won majestically in lower class,looks difficult here.La Joie De Vie is beaten in final track work and does not impress.

Race3:Sea value(12)-Eachway

All first timers,one can take a chance on Sea value who impressed in gate practises and will place for sure.

Race4:Tsesebe(3)-Win

Tsesebe is running unopposed and should return as easy winner.

Race5:Harmonica(1)-Win

Harmonica has beaten classy Astral flash over identical distance,looks home and dry here.Noble salute and Caustic finale are non winners till date.

Race6:Oasis Star(1)

Y will Oasis Star loose,lets not indulge in wishful thinking.Cotswold Arms is sure to place and will fetch will good returns for SHP and place.

Race7:Angels Glory(8)/Monopoly(7)

Race is restricted to above two.Angels glory has earlier beaten Monopoly and now has advantage vis-a vis that run,prepared well and will give tough challenge to Monopoly who is also endowed with very good initial speed and in this shorter distance has mighty chance.Oyster Pearl will place.

Race8:Magical Mantra(4)-Win

Bad race with all non performers.Magical mantra may do well here ahead of Nara and Winning treat.
