Bangalore 11th July Selections

Following are my views for Pre Derby day.


Race1:Spark Of Salerno(2)/Sun Classique(4)

Spark Of Salerno gets first prefernce based on its second to coorg honey,last two runs were not true to the form.Sun Classique found Spark of revernce too hot to handle in its last run,well rested and working well thereafter will be there at busy end,good place bet.Peacemaker ran good forward races in company of strong horses few of which are now running in Derby but not adequately prepared,low confidence of Appu is added disadvantage.Mighty prince surprised everyone by its good run,this all together different ballgame,hence may not even place.

Race2:Red Renegade(6)/Starbright(10)

Red Renegade was favourite in its last race against likes of Captivating,Spearhead,had to be withdrawn,well prepared and should win this race easily.Starbright after an easy run now runs with +ve change of shoes and if Redrenegade falters due to long lay off factor then it will grab the winner berth.Criminal Lawyer's last run was suggestive and should place.Sherman has not been impressive in track works,if fancied can be ignored for win.Spark Of Marchador is working very well but running after long lay off with out any GP,hence ignored.Alviano is working extremely well beating Motherspride{R85},but it may not be able to deliver in its very first run in this set.

Race3:Simply Phenomenal(2)/Prince Norbert(12)

Satish narredu has 3 runners in this very poor set of runners.Simply Phenomenal has been entrusted to task master and should deliver.Valiant bid failed in very poor company last time,if fancied can be ignored for win.Jockey C Krishnan is trying very hard to sign off on winning note,hence Prince norbert inspite of no preparation gets nod ahead of others.

Race4:Marcegalia(2)/Distinctly Ahead(1)

Marcegalia deserves strong attention due to impressive lastrun,+ve change of shoes and jockey,impressive final preparatory gallop,good win bet.Distinctly Ahead cleared maidens beating Abfabs which went on to annex Mysore derby,in subsequent run cleared 40-65 class,did not like Winter season and failed to impress,now prepared very well,working impressively and should extend its best.Redford is drawn advantegously in innermost box and should lead all the way till being over taken in final furlong.Noble kingdom lacks winning punch.Royal bank fails to quicken up and can be ignored.

Race5:Diego Rivera(1)/Rhapsidion Snow(7)

Diego Rivera stands tall and should not have much difficulty in winning this race.Rhapsidion Snow has won a mockrace beating Icebreaker,will be market fancy but it has to beat Diego rivera.Greenbax should be a good place bet.Reflection of gold does not like hot pace and hence will not be able to make any impression.Salsera will be in front bunch till last furlong and can be lucky to finish on board.Dancing dynmite is running for first time in bangalore,will need this run,ignore.Originality is best suited for 1200mts.Spirituall is ignored to poor jockey astride.

Race6:So Much More(5)/Super Sonic(8)

Southern Magic had chance but ignored due to -ve change of shoes and no track work which is not the winning pattern.So Much More has the right credentials to win this race and should provide its rider a good double from Marcegalia to So much more.Excellent Ability can finish on board due to jockey merit.Super Sonic gets nod due to reasons mentioned earlier.Leon Cavallo finished good second in lower class,this different ballgame hence will not be able to make any impression.

Race7:Shotgunn(2)/Forestflair(1)

Very tough race.Forest flair may be hot market fancy,can win but has to ward off challenge of Shotgunn whose final preparatory gallop is too good to be ignored.Nox has not be been able to deliver in this distance,at best can place.Lowndes Square won impressively last time and should place.

Race8:Spark Of Jewel(3)/Your Destiny(4)

Spark Of Jewel has beaten Greenbro,Alaric which went on win easily in their subsequent runs,should not have much difficulty in winning this race.Your Destiny finished a good second to Immortal which almost won last week,should be good place bet.Rule Of Attraction merits attention due to +ve switch of shoes,can place.Step In Style can be ignored for win.Menlo Park will not be able to sustain till end,at best can place.
